Hello Mrs. Fishman and others, I just wanted to post an update with what I've been up to and with my contact info. I'm a graduate of the class of 1998 IB Art Programe. Since then I have become a proud graduate of Emory University with a BA in Journalism and Theatre Studies (Double Major). Upon graduating in 1998 I returned to DC from Atlanta and went straight to Law School. I now have my Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School and have passed the District of Columbia Bar. All through Law School I worked for CNN's Crossfire (with Paul Begala, James Carville, Tucker Carlson, and Bob Novak) until it sadly aired its final episode in June of 2004. I still keep in touch with the former CNN team, but many have gone on to work on other projects after Crossfire (i.e. the Situation with Tucker Carlson on MSNBC). After that I also worked briefly for Congressman Chris Van Hollen. I am still living in Foggy Bottom in DC, and have a clerkship with the DC Administrative Court (OAH) - where I write opinions for the Judges and offer legal advice to the Agency with the OAH General Counsel. My intent is to one day become an on-air legal journalist. I still do photography as a hobby, and am looking to get back into producing more of my art, including designing furniture as a hobby. Since leaving RM, I have not had the opportunity to be in an environment that was so nurturing to my artistic endeavors. The artistic side of me reached a whole new level while working under the guidance of Mrs. Fishman, and I don't want all that I learned to become a rusty tool while I'm practicing law - not the most creatively challenging profession. I hope all is well with everyone affiliated with the IB Are Programe. Keep in touch - especially 1998 alumni who are in DC now! I can be reached at 240-888-7668, or rkimmer@law.gwu.edu. Best, -Rob Kimmer
